What to expect

These classes are designed for neurodivergent adults and individuals with additional support needs who are looking for more than a short course — a place to return to regularly, build relationships and develop creatively over time. The programme is led by two practising visual artists with long-term experience in both artistic practice and inclusive creative education. Our approach is rooted in care, attentiveness and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals as artists in their own right. We work closely with organisations, care homes and support services, welcoming groups who attend with staff, as well as private individuals and families seeking a consistent, supportive creative environment. Sessions are shaped around each participant, focusing on personal interests, strengths and ways of working rather than fixed outcomes. While ceramics and pottery are central to the studio, we also encourage exploration across multiple art forms, including drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media. Time is given to discovering each person’s preferences and supporting them in developing personal projects, at their own pace and in their own direction. Our approach combines teaching, mentoring and long-term engagement. Alongside developing creative skills, we support participants in building confidence, working towards personal milestones, socialising and forming new friendships. For many, these sessions become a meaningful part of their weekly routine — something familiar, grounding and genuinely looked forward to. Beyond the studio, we organise gallery and museum visits and create opportunities for participants to exhibit their work, helping them engage with the wider cultural world and recognise themselves as artists in a public context. Classes are usually booked as a monthly block of four sessions, paid in advance, to allow for continuity and trust to develop. Trial sessions are available for those who wish to experience the space before committing to regular attendance.
